Well… as we’re fast approaching the end of 2024 with only a couple of weeks left it’s made me reflect on 2024…
What has changed, how have we grown, what have we learnt?
I have yet again completed my Dr Vodder review training for ongoing and updated MLD & treatment of Lymphoedema. This has to be completed every 2 years so all ticked off until 2026!
Also co written and taught, with Jane Wigg, ‘Scar Tissue for Lymphoedema course’ at the Lymph Training Academy in Staffordshire.
I have done:
And I am proud to notify that I have also been nominated a Trustee for the BLS (British Lymphology Society).
We, at the Lighter Touch, were joined in April by Natalie Bacon, a sports & massage therapist also trained in FGMLD. Proud to have her on board also treating lymphoedema, lipoedema, post surgical healing and most injuries. And she is building her own client base at a steady rate.
She also introduced herself to the Malvern Breast Cancer group and the Breast Cancer Haven this year and is working on some exciting movement and dance classes in the New year especially for those suffering with lymphoedema and lipoedema… watch this space for details and dates!
Also, another new addition is Sophie Arrowsmith, a skilled nutrition therapist and Colon Hydrotherapist is about to join us in January. Doubling our current appointment capacity. She is a RICTAT qualified Colon Hydrotherapist, and has lots of new approaches to help heal your gut!
In addition… Conferences attended:
I have had the delight and honour of also working with CC Kat at Kat & Co in Edgbaston. She and her team are second to non for vaser liposuction, elected surgery such as abdominoplasty, mastoplexy, brachioplasty, breast augmentation etc. I have worked there weekly to watch amazing surgical procedures and treat patients post operatively with MLD. It all helps to fully understand procedures and give our patients the best care available.
So a BIG announcement!
I have been looking after and managing lymphoedema, lipoedema & venous insufficiency for 25 years!
And I have been doing Colonics for 21 years! Well, I thought they are pretty significant milestones and need to be celebrated!
Hence the new website, fresh look logo and soon to be completed - new signage.
All in all 2025 is an anniversary year full of fresh innovations, evidence based treatments and its all because of you.
You, our lovely clients and patients expect and deserve the very best, so we aim to keep delivering.
The tough challenges you face make us want to fight for your wellbeing.
Let’s face things together!
Happy Christmas and a Happy Healthy New year
