Year 2025
Well 2025 is upon us and what a year it's looking to be!
Incredibly it's been 25 years since I travelled to Walschee in Austria to the Dr Vodder School with Hildegard Wittlingler to complete my MLD-Full lymphoedema and lipoedema management training.
Returning back, I was approached by the NHS commissioners to treat lymphoedema in palliative patients. I was privileged enough to work with these inspirational people exclusively for around 4 years until I could expand my own practice.
2025 also marks 21 years since I trained in Colon Hydrotherapy. Treating people with mixed health issues such as erratic and unpredictable bowels due to medication, chemotherapy, eating disorders, physical disabilities and autoimmune conditions.
We go through life without a manual or instructions of ‘what to be when we grow up..’ or how to even get there. We have no crystal ball and no certainty of how our future will shape up. So when we allow ourselves a rare chance to reflect and look back it can be surprisingly rewarding to see what we’ve achieved.
Unable to not feel proud of what I’ve accomplished over the years I’m still as enthusiastic and passionate about giving my patients the very best I can offer and exactly what they deserve.
Looking ahead….
2025 promises to be even more exciting. We have more scope than ever for expansion and more appointment slots available.
The Lighter Touch has had Natalie Bacon on board since April last year. Natalie is an experienced Sports Therapist & FG-MLD practitioner – also offering MLD, lymphoedema management, rehab and injury techniques.
We’re also delighted to announce Sophie Arrowsmith is now working with us offering Colon Hydrotherapy and nutritional therapy. Sophie has worked for Cytoplan as a nutritional advisor for several years. She will be able to offer advice on dietary and supplemental support to guide you on your journey to good health.
All patients having Lymphoedema, Lipoedema and integrated wound care management at the Lighter Touch have access to MLD, lymph scanner, Low Level Laser (photobiomodulation), Deep Oscillation, Kinesiotaping, Compression therapy, Prescription Compression Garments & Intermittent Pneumatic compression therapy. Offering an integrated approach to your treatment.
